Some students are disaster response volunteers looking for a new career. Others have significant experience in the field and are seeking a graduate degree to secure a new role or promotion.

Program Timeline

Students complete their degree attending part-time over two academic years. Classes are held during the day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, over one weekend each month for three consecutive months each academic quarter (Autumn, Winter, Spring). Classes may be scheduled during the day or evening.

Students may choose to focus their coursework through optional degree concentrations that explore:

Study energy, climate, and critical infrastructure challenges and their impact on security.
